Moar!

Went ahead and roughly smoothed out Walky Guy. I need to practice doing stuff on twos instead of ones... I set myself up for trouble this time cause I wanted the key poses to be on 12, 6, 3, etc. But that means I had basically two tween pages per key, so I needed to figure out what 1/3rds and 2/3rds between each key is gonna look like. Good practice I guess.

This was all done with blue pencil and Flipbook will only shoot it in black and white for some reason. Maybe when I get my animation table set back up I'll go over it with a backlight and dark pencil.

Crits welcome. I realize there are problems with the facial features / sleeves / etc. swimming... I didn't use a backlight for any of this. That's my lame excuse. ;-)

Looks good! I think that the secondary motion with the hair does some funny things though. Maybe it is too much movement or the way it is moving. Im not sure. Anyhow, I really love the arms and the feet. Reminds me of cartoons from the '20s or '30s.

Thanks for the feedback, Anonymous! You're right about the hair. I also got some really great feedback via e-mail. I think I'll do another one with this same character. I want to try to capture more closely the nature of this guy's walk that I saw at the park. It had a "I AM VERY DELIBERATELY GOING FORWARD AND FORWARD AND FORWARD" feel to it.

I wanted to do that this weekend, but I've had to work overtime...
